What is Breakout prop firm?
Breakout is a crypto prop trading firm owned by Kraken, which completed its acquisition in September 2025. You pay a one-time fee for an evaluation, hit the profit target without breaking the loss limits, and then trade a funded account of up to $200,000 while keeping 80–90% of the profits.
Its biggest strengths are the exchange backing, which is rare in this industry, and simple rules: no time limit, no minimum trading days and no consistency rule. The cheapest evaluation starts at $20 for a $5K Turbo account.
Breakout evaluation plans and pricing
Every Breakout evaluation is a single phase (1-Step). The three plans differ in profit target, drawdown room and price:
- Classic: 10% profit target, 6% static max drawdown, 3% daily loss limit. The most forgiving plan, from $45 (5K) to $800 (100K).
- Pro: 12% profit target, 5% static max drawdown, 3% daily loss limit. From $33 (5K) to $1,090 (200K).
- Turbo: 9% profit target, 3% static max drawdown, 3% daily loss limit. The cheapest plan, from $20 (5K) to $660 (200K).
